NFL Academy Announces Return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2024

NFL Academy will face U.S. high school De La Salle for the first time on Oct. 8

NFL Academy will face IMG Academy for the third consecutive season.

The NFL Academy will also return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday, Oct. 8 to play U.S. high school De La Salle from Concord, California as part of this year’s NFL London Games. This follows on from their victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last year against the New York City Champions, Erasmus Hall.

This year’s opponents in London, De La Salle, has a strong American football reputation, notably having Jacksonville Jaguars legendary running back Maurice Jones-Drew as an alumni player.

A month later, on Friday, Nov. 8, the weekend of the NFL Munich Game, NFL Academy will again take on IMG Academy Varsity White. This will be the third match-up between the both teams, with IMG Academy winning the first game at The Grove Hotel in 2022, before the NFL Academy took the spoils in Loughborough last October.

This will be the NFL Academy’s fifth and sixth game against U.S. opposition in Europe, winning its last two games against IMG Academy and Erasmus Hall respectively.

The NFL Academy is an elite football development program for talented student athletes based in the U.K., delivered in partnership with Loughborough College and Loughborough University.

Since its inception, more than 40 NFL Academy alumni have secured college football scholarships in the U.S., with over 30 students set to play college football in the 2024 season (19 of those playing in Division 1 programs).
